The B.C. MUSLIM ASSOCIATION STATEMENT ON RECENT ACTS OF VIOLENCE

On behalf of the Muslim communities of British Columbia, The BC Muslim Association categorically condemns senseless, brutal and cold-blooded crimes against humanity in Nice city of France. A truck loaded with grenades and other weapons ploughed into a crowed of people celebrating country’s revolution - Bastille Day that ended violently. The cowards that carried out this heinous crime are politically motivated and have no regard for sanctity of human life. They are a disgrace to our faith and their actions cannot be justified under any circumstances.
This tragedy has touched the world including a vast majority of Muslims. Our hearts go out to the families of the victims and to the people of France. You are in our prayers and we call for end to violence against innocent people. We stand in solidarity with people of conscious around the world.
